REMODELING SERVICES IN DALLAS

A Closer Look At Each Service

Whole-Home Remodeling in Dallas

A whole-home remodel is a massive project and disruptive to live through, which is why people sit on it for years. The two things worth pinning down first are what it’ll cost and whether the person you hire will see it through. We quote a fixed price from your real selections, so “allowances” don’t balloon when you pick actual tile and cabinets, and one project lead stays on your job start to finish.

What people want changed is usually concrete, like a kitchen walled off from everyone else or bedrooms too small for the furniture. Some are fixing the house to enjoy it, others to sell, and a whole-home remodel sorts that out either way.

Home Additions in Dallas

An addition is for when the house is right and there’s just not enough of it: a baby coming and no nursery, a parent who needs a room on the ground floor, a desk that’s lived in your bedroom corner for years. The hard part is making it not look like an addition, which means matching the brick, roof pitch, and window trim so it reads as original from the curb.

It also means tying the new foundation into the old one so the floor doesn’t settle and crack later. That protects your money too, since an addition that blends in adds real square footage to your appraisal while one that looks bolted on costs you at resale. A home addition gives you space now and value you keep.

Luxury Home Remodeling in Dallas

By the time you’re planning a high-end remodel, you usually know what you want. You have the taste, so what you’re really buying is execution.

What separates a high-end finish from an expensive-looking mess is the small details, like cabinet doors that hang with even gaps or stone where the veining runs unbroken across the seam. That work is slow and it’s where corner-cutting hides, so it comes down to who’s holding the saw. See what luxury home remodeling with Fin Home looks like.

Kitchen Remodeling in Dallas

Most kitchen complaints come down to the layout more than the cabinets. The fridge door blocks the only walkway, there’s nowhere by the range to set a hot pan, and only one person fits in the room. New cabinets won’t touch that, because the fix is the layout, and that’s where a lot of contractors get cautious.

Moving the sink means rerouting drain and supply lines, and opening the kitchen up means checking whether that wall holds the second floor. We work that out before you commit, so the kitchen you sign off on can actually be built. Our kitchen remodeling page and the DFW kitchen price guide are a good place to start.

Bathroom Remodeling in Dallas

A bathroom packs the most technical work into the smallest room, and what matters most is what you never see again once it’s done. Behind the tile there should be a waterproof membrane and a shower pan sloped to the drain. Skip that and water works into the studs, then shows up a year later as a stain on the ceiling below.

We build that layer to last, then shape the room around how you use it, whether that’s a curbless shower or a second sink so you’re not taking turns at six in the morning. Our bathroom remodeling page covers how we work, and the DFW bathroom price guide has the numbers.

FROM THE GROUND UP

Custom Home Building in Dallas & Graham, TX

At some point none of the listings are the house you’re picturing, or you’ve found the lot, maybe a few acres out near Graham, and you’d rather build than settle. A build gets you that house, and it’s also where budgets blow past what people were promised.

The usual setup is a low bid built on tiny allowances, so the quote looks great until you pick real materials and the cost climbs. We price your selections up front, so a custom home build is quoted at a number you can plan around. Erik and the team have built in DFW and across North Texas since 2006. The DFW home building cost guide covers the costs for various custom builds.

MEET THE OWNER

Hi, I'm Erik Finholm.

I built my first house from the ground up in 2006. I wasn't trying to start a company back then. I just wanted to see if I could take a home all the way from foundation to finishes and do it well. That first build set the standard I've held to ever since.

In the years after, I spent my time on remodels and new builds across the greater Dallas area, learning something from every project and getting to know the tradespeople and suppliers I still rely on today. In 2018 I started Fin Home Custom Contracting to do things my own way: real craftsmanship paired with a process that's honest and easy for homeowners to be part of.

FAQS

Your Remodeling Questions, Answered

How much does a remodel cost in Dallas?

It depends on scope and finishes. Bathroom remodels often start in the tens of thousands, kitchens higher, and whole-home projects vary widely. Our 2026 DFW Home Remodeling Cost Guide breaks down real price ranges and what moves them.

How long will my remodel take?

A bathroom can take a few weeks. Kitchens and whole-home remodels run longer. You’ll get a detailed timeline during your consultation, and your project lead keeps you posted on it throughout the build.

Will you give me a fixed price?

Yes. You approve detailed plans, selections, and pricing before construction starts, so the number you sign is the number you pay unless you choose to change the scope.

Do you offer a warranty?

Every project includes 1 year on all work, 2 years on major systems, and 10 years on structural components, and we stay available after the job wraps.

Can I stay in my home during the remodel?

Usually, yes. We contain dust, protect your floors and furniture, and sequence the work so your home stays livable. For larger whole-home projects we’ll talk through options during planning.

What’s the first step?

Book a consultation. We’ll review your vision, budget, and timeline, and you’ll leave the conversation knowing exactly what working together looks like.
